Random Bla Bla Bla…

Love...

To the one:

Do you know how much you meant to me?
Do you know how much I love you? And I still do.
Why can’t we be like last time? Why can you replace me so fast?
What am I lack of?

I love you, I really do.
But I am very afraid of you now, and you hate me so much.
I hope someday you can see how much I sacrifice for you, how much I love you.

I love you but I also hate you for being so cruel.
I won’t curse you, but I don’t wish you well either. :(

The case of the stolen Homer Simpson

The case of the stolen Homer SimpsonHere’s a piece of non-tech news from Malaysia that made its way to the International Herald Tribune to lighten up your day. 2 Malaysian college students couldn’t wait till July 26 for The Simpsons movie and decided to steal a Homer Simpson figurine from a Simpson family life-size portrait. The students should have known better - closed-circuit security cameras caught the rascals making away with Homer (see picture). Not only were their faces caught on film, so was their car number plates. It wasn’t long then before the police caught them and made them return Homer.

No harm done in the end. 20th Century Fox representative Moo Hon Mei told AP that Homer would be reunited with the rest of his dysfunctional family shortly. The police haven’t yet decided if the rascals would be charged with theft.

No Plan To Compel Bloggers To Register, Says Prime Minister

The Government has no plan to make it mandatory for bloggers to register, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Monday. He said existing laws and regulations were adequate to take action against bloggers who crossed the limits. “Existing laws are sufficient to deal with them. The laws will be invoked when the need arises,” he told reporters after opening the Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) campus.

Abdullah, who is also Internal Security Minister, said he did not believe requiring bloggers to register would solve the problem of posting baseless information in their websites. The prime minister said many people were unhappy and had voiced their displeasure over the bloggers posting unverified information in their websites.

“Even if they are ordered to register, some of them may not comply and resort to using other channels through foreign servers,” he said.

TMNET replies regarding P2P Throttling issue

Below is TMNet’s reply, published verbatim.

Thank you for your feedback. Our automated feedback system has forwarded your case to us for our attention and reply. Firstly, we would like to apologise for the late reply.

With regards to your issue, please be informed that prior to the remarkable rise of P2P traffic recently, it has indiscriminately pushed onto the maximum utilization of our network capacity, while on the other hand proven to be utilized by only 20% of our total user.

Due to this, currently, bandwidth are not equally distributed amongst DSL users upon file sharing applications and thus, resulting in a reduced performance in P2P applications.

Nevertheless, such exercise is not exceptional, as some other non-local service provider has already been doing this so as to manage the impact of P2P traffic on their network.

Regretfully, this approach can easily be positioned as unfavourable amongst our subscriber, and we’re truly aware of this. While this is not a popular method of controlling Internet traffic, the fluctuation of the connectivity will be considered as best effort basis.

The problem may surface and appear later depends on the condition of the NET. The feedback received from your good self is very significant for us to improve and again, this is actually how the service is wherever DSL technology is offered on the other side of the world.

Should you require further assistance or would like to submit any enquiry/feedback, kindly visit www.tm.net.my and click “Need Help? Contact our Customer Service”.

We hope we have addressed your concern and look forward to serve you better.

Many people have different view about this issue. For me i think this was kinda a good way to control bandwitdh distribution. Now my http download are kinda fast so i have nothing against tmnet :) But on the other hand .. i need to spend more time to download from p2p then i do before :p
