How To: Prevent Google from Indexing Your Images

How To: Prevent Google from Indexing Your Images

Usually traffic is the driving force behind our blogs. So it kinda silly idea to prevent a lot of potential traffic from Google’s image search. But there are many reasons blogger don’t want their pictures to be indexed by Google. Some blogger like to post personal pictures and some of them make custom pictures and don’t want other to take them when possible.

If you feel that you are that kind of blogger, you can easily prevent Google from indexing your pictures by placing the following code into your blog’s header file above the < /head > tag.

<meta name="robots" content="noimageindex">

If your site has a problem with people taking your content. Then there is a chance Google will still index them when they index that person’s website. Another way to prevent this, is to place images into a folder then add a disallow to your Robots.txt file. You can add something like the following to your Robots.txt file.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /images/

Get your Google Wave invites today!

Get your Google Wave invites today!

Recently Google Wave has open it’s door to some 100,000 lucky users. And for some of us who want to play with Google new toy, we just can wait for it’s official launch. Although Google provides a place to apply an invitation, The process is incredibly slow because Google not instantly sending all the invitation. Instead, they’re going through them one at a time.

But fear not, someone has made a simple solution for us: Google Wave Invites. Google Wave Invites, is a dedicated site to share all the Wave invites. Meaning if someone have extra invites, they can come here and look for someone who need an invitation. And other people can come here to request an invitation also. It’s not a perfect solution but at least, maybe it wont be slow like Google official invite request system.

Apple finally show their ugly side

Apple finally show their ugly side

First they rejected not one but two Google apps from the Apple iPhone App Store with an absurd reason. That’s not the end of it, all the third party apps for Google voice also been kill from the app store. And now they expect the developers of those apps to fund the refunds out of their own pockets. Crazy right?

Apple iPhone App Store always do crazy thing, they approved all app that are not suitable just like that and rejected all the app that should be approve in the first place. Now i know how the hell iPhone got another name, “The sex toy“.

Hopefully the FCC will investigate this matter.
