After several rounds of beta releases, Release Candidate 1 of WordPress 2.1 is available. Download it here.

  • Links can now have sub-categories
  • Redesigned login screen
  • More AJAX to make custom fields, moderation, deletions, etc all instant
  • Pages can now be drafts, or private
  • Minor admin redesign
  • Upload manager
  • Faster dashboard

WordPress 2.1 also includes over 550 bug fixes. You can give feedback on RC1 via the Testers Mailing List or the Beta Forum.

WordPress 2.0.5 has been release with the name “Ronan”. It was name after jazz musicians to congratulate Ryan Boren on his new son.

WordPress 2.0.5 have about 50 bugfixes, which can be view here. This latest release consists mainly of minor bugfixes, minor feature enhancements, and a couple of database speedups. There is also a minor security fix.

If you experiencing Server 500 errors (or anything related to 302) in the admin screen after you have upgrade into 2.0.5, please download this plugin.
